I design and build elegant, user-friendly websites, with an emphasis on attractive design and attention to detail.
I code entirely by hand, and write clean, accessible, fully-validatable X-HTML 1.0 Strict and CSS 2.0, designed from the outset to degrade gracefully and provide the broadest cross-platform, cross-browser compatibility.
Writing by hand allows the production of highly compact, efficient code – resulting in high performance sites that require minimal server bandwidth.

Design and build of the website of leading spoken word publisher Naxos AudioBooks. The elegant, accessible site incorporates an MP3 download service. A custom encoding strategy was also developed to provide extremely high quality speech reproduction at very low bit-rates.

Design and build of the website of renowned New Zealand artist David Barker. The site subtly mirrors the artist’s printed materials, incorporating gentle movement, and pays meticulous attention to the on-screen reproduction of the artist’s work.
- Syracuse University London Program
Designed to match new program branding, the website of Syracuse University’s London Program was developed to present user-managed content and calendars stored on an existing CMS in an attractive, accessible, and user-friendly way.
